What Is Collected
Alpha application forms may collect your name or preferred name, email address, Mac model or chip, macOS version, testing interests, form answers, and optional setup details. Later alpha diagnostics may include app version, macOS version, hardware information, settings, crash details, and redacted file or disc identifiers.
Why It Is Collected
mPLAY uses this information for alpha selection, tester communication, bug investigation, product improvement, and security. Data is not sold.
Alpha Access Verification
During alpha testing, the app may contact mPLAY.me at launch to verify tester/build access and prevent unauthorized sharing. This may include limited technical information such as app version, build number, access token or license identifier, approximate timestamp, and basic device/app environment data needed for verification. mPLAY does not collect passwords, Apple ID credentials, personal media files, or full media paths for this purpose.
What Not To Submit
Do not submit copyrighted media, commercial disc images, passwords, Apple ID credentials, serial numbers, UDIDs, or any private credentials through alpha forms, email, feedback, or diagnostics.
Retention
Alpha applications may be retained for up to 12 months unless deletion is requested. Diagnostic information may be retained as long as reasonably needed to investigate issues and improve alpha builds.
Third-Party Processors
Processors may include website hosting, email providers, Cloudflare Turnstile, Supabase, and analytics if used. Each service should be configured with the least access needed for the alpha workflow.
